Refer to the assembly diagram on page 49 and the photo on page 46 for placement guidance.
Rows 1 and 3
1. Position an A block with the blue strip on top and sew a gray 1½" × 16½" strip to the right end of the block. Press the seam allowances open.
2. Position an A block with the cream strip on top and sew a gray 1½" × 16½" strip to the right end of the block. Press the seam allowances open.
3. Join the pieced sections from steps 1 and 2. Press the seam allowances open.
4. With the blue strip on top, sew a B block to the end of the row to complete row 1. Press the seam allowances open. The row should measure 62½" long.
5. Repeat steps 1–4 to make row 3.
